Acea and the sustainability
Integrated vision
Our strategic planning balances both the industrial dimension and the sustainability aspects in its business objectives, thus facilitating “integrated thinking”. We pay attention to the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda and to the coherence between our values and the principles of the United Nations "Global Compact". In 2019 we updated our Sustainability Plan both at governance and operational level.
The Governance level of the Sutainability Plan
We pay attention to the integration of sustainability into corporate governance with 8 cross-cutting objectives. In fact, the 2019-2022 Sustainability Plan envisages two additional objectives with respect to those set out in the previous Plan, relating to an updated management of industrial relations that is sensitive to the social needs and well-being of employees, and sustainable management of the supply chain, with a focus on circular procurement.
The operational level of the Sustainability Plan
At operational level, our 2019-2022 Sustainability Plan divides operations into 5 macro-objectives, sub-divided into 14 areas of action, 26 operational objectives and 183 measurable targets for 2022 associated with the development strategies set out in the Business Plan.
Stakeholders Map
We promote an approach to stakeholder engagement that seeks to enhance opportunities for the creation of shared value. The “Acea stakeholders map” identifies the macrocategories of key stakeholders: customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders and financiers, institutions, community, environment and the company itself.
